how we can help

Our approach

Our approach is grounded in clarity and understanding. We look beyond symptoms to understand how your body moves, adapts, and responds to daily demands, then provide clear guidance to help you manage your movement with confidence. Rather than quick fixes, we focus on simple, tailored movement and education that supports long-term resilience and a return to the activities that matter to you.

Recovery. Simplified.

Our yoga teacher Sophie leads calm, structured yoga sessions designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and reconnect with your body — without pressure or expectation.

Trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga in Goa, India, Sophie brings a deep understanding of how the body moves and adapts. Her classes focus on steady, controlled movement that builds strength, improves mobility, and gently increases flexibility over time.

Each session is guided at a sensible pace, with clear options and adjustments so you can move in a way that feels right for you on the day. There’s no requirement to be “flexible” or experienced — the focus is on progress, not perfection.

These classes aren’t about forcing positions or pushing through discomfort. They’re about learning how to move with confidence, awareness, and control — skills that carry over into everyday life, exercise, and recovery.

Whether you’re returning to movement, managing stiffness, or simply looking for a supportive way to stay active, Sophie’s classes offer a calm, practical approach to moving well.

We start by sharing what we know. We provide a brief overview of the body’s anatomy related to today’s activity to help you understand your body and how it moves. We then guide you through a targeted expert-led exercise workshop to help your body stay healthy & happy. Throughout the session our staff will provide their guidance on best form,  and alternatives for each exercise.

This class is designed to be a safe, supportive space where exercise rehabilitation is done as a community.

The focus is on building strength, control, and resilience in a way that protects your body for everyday life — whether that’s walking, gardening, running, lifting, working, or staying active with family. The exercises are chosen to support how the body actually moves and copes with day-to-day demands.

For those recovering from injury, the class provides a structured environment to continue rehabilitation with guidance and reassurance if you want it. Movements can be adjusted, slowed down, or progressed depending on where you’re at, so you’re never forced to keep up or push through pain.

Throughout the session, there is time and space to ask questions, understand why certain exercises matter, and feel confident that what you’re doing is both safe and useful. The aim is simple: help your body move well, stay healthy, and feel capable, now and in the long term.

These sessions take place in the real-world settings and are built around movement in context. Whether that’s running, walking, hiking, climbing, tennis, golf, or something similar, we guide you during the activity itself, not just before or after it.

If you’re returning to running, we’ll look at how you move as you run.
If it’s climbing, we’ll guide technique, load, and movement choices on the wall.
The same applies to racket sports, walking, or any activity that’s part of your life.

The pace is relaxed and supportive, with the group moving at a level that keeps everyone comfortable and included. There’s space to ask questions, build community and confidence in your body.

It’s informal, practical, and focused on helping your body cope with real-life demands safely, sustainably, and with clarity.
