Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a hands-on, evidence-based approach to assessing, treating, and supporting the body’s movement system.

An Osteopath focuses on how muscles, joints, nerves, and connective tissues work together — and how pain or injury can affect the way you move and function day to day.

What to expect

What happens during an Osteopathy appointment?

An Osteopath will take time to listen and ask a few easy questions about your pain. Then gently check how you move, conducting a few simple tests.

After that, they explain your diagnosis, inform you of your treatment options, and tell you how long your diagnosis should take to heal.

  • Back and neck pain

  • Shoulder, elbow, hip, knee,
    and ankle problems

  • Sports and activity-related injuries

  • Persistent or recurring pain

  • Stiffness and reduced mobility

  • Postural or movement-related issues

If you’ve seen an Osteopath before, some of the treatment may feel familiar. We use gentle massage, light joint movements and sometimes quicker techniques to help calm the uncomfortable area.

To top it all off, we work with a prevention mindset. Our Osteopath’s will provide you with simple, evidence-based exercises that fit into your day to make it easier for you to live a pain free life.

For your peace of mind, we’re committed to professional development, high ethical standards of practice & research. Osteopathy has been statutorily regulated since 1993 & was awarded Allied Health Professional Status in 2017. By law, an Osteopath must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council in the UK.
